THE HURRICANE HARVEY STORIES:
August 27, 2017 - Rodman offers another perspective on the storm, one that many of us might overlook. Not only have many experienced devastating losses, but the increased delays in transportation, time demands, frustrations, and loss of patience, etc. obviously impact our daily thoughts and feelings in small, indirect ways; they become some of the emotional residuals from catastrophic events, like hurricanes. Rodman reminds us of the value of seeing ourselves within a larger context - a collection of people - and using a mindset of flexibility, patience and understanding. In that sense, it can be a small way of helping those around us; a great reminder in the midst of so much confusion - patience, flexibility and understanding can go along way in the process of healing and recovery. Thank you Rodman, for your story and thoughtful consideration. We appreciate you sharing.
