Gene Walker

THE HURRICANE HARVEY STORIES:
 August 27, 2017 - HCC has many older adult students working toward re-certification, career advancement, academic opportunities, etc., and Gene shares his story, and the impact Hurricane Harvey had on his life.  He was already undergoing a change in residence, but the hurricane brought about other adjustments that no one would have expected.  But Gene shares a wisdom gained through life experiences, offering a clarity of inner strength, an identified community of loving family and friends, and knowing no one is beyond the reach of nature.  His is a story of change, loss and appreciation, and we are thankful he shared it with us.

This project was completely done using HCC's Digital Storytelling tools as part of HCC's Digital Storytelling initiative. Tools used include WeVideo, Listening Stations, microphones, and iMacs.
