Front of House of Back of House Visual Arts Faculty Exhibition

The Houston Community College Visual Arts Department recently held an artist reception for the faculty exhibition FOH/BOH at the HCC Central College Fine Arts Center Gallery. FOH/BOH (Front of House/Back of House) -- a two-person art exhibition from artists Katherine Trimble and Brock Gordon -- is a nod to the world of food service and notes the division between the Front of House, a cozy, inviting area welcoming of guests, and the Back of House, a chaotic and ever-changing space where the sausage is made. The works included in this exhibition feature paintings, drawings, photographs and sounds that speak to foods, ingredients, restaurants, food preparation, eating, and all of the sensory experiences associated with these themes.
