In this keynote presentation, Dr. Steven Mintz of the University of Texas at Austin redefines an instructional approach to history that views students as passive recipients of history and perpetuates historical illiteracy. Instead, he insists that our job is to treat students as historians in their own right. The keynote presentation provides various means for shifting instructional methodologies to mold students into creators and shapers of history and narrative.
