Darius Minott

THE HURRICANE HARVEY STORIES:
 August 27, 2017 - Like a few students participating in the interviews, Darius was not directly impacted by the Hurricane.  And like all of those students, he worked to help others - just to be a better person.  He tells how he did not receive compensation for his efforts, and is thankful no one in his family was compromised by the hurricane.  He spoke directly and clearly about the importance of education, highlighting its value and influence for positive change, making it a point to end his interview with encouragement to others struggling to continue - "stay in school....pick up a number 2 pencil...you are a star.  You can do anything."  Thank you Darius, for sharing and encouraging others.

This project was completely done using HCC's Digital Storytelling tools as part of HCC's Digital Storytelling initiative. Tools used include WeVideo, Listening Stations, microphones, and iMacs.
