HCC faculty and composer Stephen Yip will present his original chamber works featuring vocal, cello guitar, trombone and percussion in addition to solo piano pieces. The program includes recent chamber works by Yip and has been described as post-modernist in style, with Asian roots, giving inner colors of an advanced spatial sense.
Musicians include: HCC faculty Jack Westmoreland, percussion and guest artists: Daniel Saenz, cello (Sam Houston State University); Yuri Maria Saenz, soprano (Manhattan School of Music); Eric Gracia, guitar (renowned guitarist); Ryan Rongone, trombone (Rice University) and Shelley Ng, piano (Rice University).
