8- Creating Video Assignments

 Creating Video Assignments in Canvas 

Creating video assignments will allow students to submit text and/or videos.  We will begin by selecting the Assignments within your course.  Next select the add Assignment button.   Here you will enter the assignment name.  In the editor, enter a brief description or instructions.  You will then set the total points for the assignment.  Select the assignment group.  You have the option of how the grade will be shown.  Now choose how the grade will be displayed. It’s importantly to choose online for the submission type and the text box is populated, this allows text submission.   There is an option for plagiarism review.  If you choose, this could be a group assignment.  You then can assign the quiz to everyone or to specific individuals.   Select the first calendar icon to set the due date and time in which the assignment should be completed and submitted.  The next 2 calendar icons allow you to select the time frame the quiz will be available.  If you are ready make this assignment available for students choose Save & Publish, if not choose Save for later publishing.
