Social Justice and Beyond Action Group
Our vision is to effect change at HCC by moving faculty and staff to adopt a policy model for intersectional understandings of race, gender, and sexuality. We intend to do this by intentionally and continuously engaging and advocating for social justice at HCC for students, staff, faculty, alum, and the broader community.
The committee is focused on transforming the climate at HCC for students, faculty, staff, and community members by developing and supporting more inclusive understandings of race, gender, and sexuality through education, advocacy, outreach, and support. The Social Justice and Beyond Committee is comprised of faculty and staff from across the HCC system who recognize the need for both systemic and individual change in the HCC community with regard to these issues.
